All in The Age of Trump
I spent five days in Washington, D.C. covering the 2025 Trump Inauguration. I attended the People’s March on Saturday, tried to get into the Trump Victory Rally on Sunday, and attended a non-denominational service featuring the Reverend Al Sharpton on Monday—Trump had canceled the outdoor ceremony. Here are my thoughts from the weekend, together with my images.
Signs are everywhere in New York City, taking many forms. Collectively, the signage reveals our collective consciousness. On this trip, the signage brought together Halloween and the Presidential election, which complemented each other. One produced anxiety, while the other reduced it. This past Thursday, I headed to Indianapolis for the protests that would inevitably arise as the Indiana Legislature considered a ban on abortion. The protests were not as large as I had expected.
