During the four days preceding Donald J. Trump’s military parade celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th Birthday and his 79th birthday, I spent considerable time walking the streets of Washington, D.C. (when I was not on Capitol Hill advocating for Ukraine). Assuming the role of street photographer, I captured demonstrations, press conferences and other First Amendment activity. Here are my thoughts about and images of the many delights I encountered.
Are the Twenties a reprise of the Sixties? Are the Zoomers the new Boomers. While at City College of New York, I continued to think about the question that many of my peers have asked in the wake of all the ongoing demonstrations on college campuses.
