Entering and Exiting the Loop

Entering and Exiting the Loop

Regular readers have seen this photograph before, but this one is very different from the earlier one.  It's later afternoon, with the sun streaming in between two skyscrapers, providing a wonderful glow to the scene.  To capture the pedestrians, I had to lean out and over the guard rail that abuts the public plaza.  Not to worry, however.  The rail is a panel, and it was well above my waist.  Moreover, had I fallen over, a canopy of steel rods would have broken my fall.  It is probably three feet below me, jutting out over the sidewalk.  Those who know me, know I have a fear of heights, so you know I don't take elevated risks.

The 'L' trains in all of the photographs in this series are running over the Lake Street tracks, either heading west or east.
